I have a rather modest antenna (G5RV) and I work lots of DX. MRP 40 compared to Ham Radio Deluxe CW Decoder. I do a lot of CW - and more now that we are locked in with COVID. Ham Radio operators use MRP40 to overcome weak DX conditions. I am starting to use the "ZIN" feature, but in a contest, its important to NOT be on the exact frequency, because thats where everybody else calling a DX station will be. The "Fine Tuning" feature is another excellent tool for CW. If the offending station is about 150 hz away (and not too strong) I can get rid of it. The CW filters themselves are excellent, and quite sharp. This AF noise limiter feature gets rid of the "frying pan noise" on 80M in particular, so that I can hear signals that are right close to noise level (without the filter). Install and setup Ham Radio Deluxe on your remote PC. There is an AF noise limiter (DNR in addition to the noise blanker) which cuts off peaks). 5 A little program to activate your DATA interface when using Skype for voice modes. I have one of these radios for about 2 months now (a Christmas present) It is the best CW radio I have ever seen, with some unique features.
